Hello to artists, designers, theatre people, new age and consciousness-expanding devotees, light-workers, Goddess- seekers, alternative- lifestyle people and general tree-huggers! In two words- Swirly folks.
A month ago I had a dream that I'm starting to bring into "material reality" In the dream, I'm looking at an exhibit consisting of thirteen mannequins dressed in Goddess garb from a multitude of times and cultures, standing in front of thirteen portals similarly decorated. The entire exhibit sits in a circle around a glass goddess abstract sculpture on top of the labyrinth from Chartres. It is lit in a very theatrical way with Robert Gass's goddess chant playing and with a fog machine running. The mannequins come to life and start dancing in the circle.
My friend Meryl Ann Butler suggested starting small and I'm working now on making a model. I've been asking people for ideas and suggestions and welcome any feedback on the project.
